Okay, So I’ve been kinda busy and wanted to ask about it sooner I just never got around to it. So, I’ve been with my company for about 4 years at this point. I was told that union was a mandatory thing (fine with that) and had been getting 21 dollar deductions for union dues per check ever since. A fairly expected thing.
About a month ago now..(really busy) I got contacted by the company saying I had to fill out the application form, and allegedly I must not have when I came on. I filled it in and sent them their digital copy, but it got me wondering. If I hadn’t been in the union this entire time, why was I being deducted from. Is it even worth digging into at all? I’d ask the union direct but considering it’s about the money they’re getting out of me I feel like that’d be biased.
Thoughts?
