I was arrested last night and charged with: Operation while impaired (s 320.14.(1) CCC) and Fail to stop after an accident (s.320.16(1) CCC)

I was arrested on the scene of the accident, so I'm a little confused how I failed to stop. When the accident happened, the airbag deployed in my face and I was very stunned. I did leave my car, and there is a period of time which I cannot recall from getting stunned, however, I was not fleeing the scene, which is why they were able to arrest me at it.

They did not perform any breathalyzer until we were at the station, and even though I attempted to blow 9 times, it kept coming back insufficient. I begged in compliance to try another way, but they decided to issue a prohibition based on refusal.

On the paperwork, the date that the officer put as his declaration is wildly inaccurate (1992/12/06).

I am wondering if I have a leg to stand on here. I likely won't be able to speak with a lawyer until Monday and any advice or knowledge would be appreciated. 🙏🏼
