so title's got the thrust of it. im a contract carpenter for a federal department in alberta. i won the bid for carpentry services until the end of the year, then canada and i can discuss options to extend yearly for 3 more years. i understand there's been a change in staffing on canada's site which is fine but the new second-in-command is hiring his buddy company before the work is being offered to me, and i've since learned that scopes of work is changing between when i'm being asked to bid work and the work is being accepted from 3rd party contractors. i understand canada needs good value for the work being done but this is why i went through the bidding/vetting process. i'm losing a fair amount of money and this can't be right.
what kind of lawyer do i probably want to start talking to? i know specific recommendations here are a no-no, but i frankly don't know much about the legal world.
