Does the location of the lawyer matter in litigation?

Post Body
I work in healthcare for a non-profit. I have evidence that my employer isn’t paying me my legally entitled wages.
I live in London and the lawyer I was going to use is too busy to take on my file (plus he specializes in medical malpractice, etc. & this is more into employment law).
I live in London, and my employment ‘home base’ is London, but my employer has locations all over Ontario.
I was starting to look for an employment lawyer in Toronto.
- Should I get one in London? Does it matter?
- If the case goes to Ontario Superior Court would it matter if the lawyer is in Toronto or London?
- How is filing done? In the city where I live/work? The city where the head office is for my employer?
- If the filing have to be done in London then would it cost more to have done by a lawyer in another city? Filing is electronic, right?
