Sex Party Predator

Located in Alberta, Canada.

I'm involved in the "lifestyle" of group sex parties. I returned back to doing this in January 2023. I contacted a friend, let's call him M. I met M in 2018 and attended his parties, he was professional and always attended to my concerns. When we spoke before the party we spoke about the party rules, one being that condoms are always used. Pretty basic stuff. I arrive at the party early, like he asked. We ended up having sex. The party happened and then I went home. The next day, he sends me videos of him having sex with me. At the end of the third video, I can make out that his penis does not have a condom on it, then the video shows him pulling out and ejaculate coming out of my vagina. I was shocked but for some reason, I just blew it off. Let it go. Months go by and I am continuing to attend parties. Sometimes we have sex, sometimes we don't. But I tried to avoid having sex with him. Often, I felt obligated to.

He made an announcement to the group that he may be moving out of province so this may be the last summer of parties. I approached him and asked him if we could talk about how he does this, I might be interested in hosting once he's gone. We decide to be teammates and I start inviting people to and greeting them at parties. Both men and women. We do this for 2-3 months together.

This past Friday, we had the party of the summer. There was a young girl who was very nervous to come who he encouraged me to befriend. She came to the party and he took her to the bathroom and had sex without a condom with her and took pictures and sent them to me. Later on, I ask her if she knew they had unprotected sex, she said she did but that he promised her it would only be her he would sleep with without a condom. Another young lady he invited to the party showed up late. She was 23. He kept bringing her over to me to reassure her we are a good group of people and to tell her how much I enjoy parties. I left the room for a smoke and when I came back she had 5 men surrounding her having group sex. Not cool, but she's an adult. I later find out from the men that witnessed it that M had had unprotected sex with her and she did not consent, in fact she was unaware unprotected sex had occurred. Another woman he had unprotected sex with that night was unaware until after the event had ended. So, that's 3 women he sexually assaulted in one night, in front of 20 other people, and no one questioned him.

The following day I was speaking with my boyfriend and he showed me a Fetlife account and asked me if I knew the owner of the account. I looked and I did not know them. He told me to look at the photos on her page. They were photos of mine and my friends faces, engaging in various forms of sexual acts. WE DEFINITELY DID NOT CONSENT TO THEM BEING SHARED THAT WAY.

I texted M and asked who it was, he told me it was a "play partner and her friend" and that "he didn't think I'd mind since I posted my face on my Fetlife profile". He told me they are also helping him organize these parties. I told him I very much did mind and so did all of the women in the photos we both knew. I messaged the owner of the account, she said she had no idea that I did not consent to her using the photos. She removed them immediately and apologized.

The following morning, everything began to click into place. I realised that what he had done to me in January, he does with all the girls. He gets them to come early, he fucks them without a condom to "get them ready" for the party. I realised he had been using me as his "teammate" to recruit new women for him to have unprotected sex with against their knowledge or will. I am horrified at how I was manipulated and coerced in his scheme. I have been crying for days, I am angry as shit and I am really afraid that somehow I'm legally complicit in this. Had this been even a slight suspicion of mine I would never, ever have continued attending his events or being his "teammate".

I have kicked him out of our group, I have had his profile removed from Fetlife, I have told him that if I find out he's operating in the community that I will take it "to the next level" but I have not specified what that is. I have done all I can to seperate myself from him socially and never plan to speak to him again in my life.

So my questions are as follows:

• Is what he has done illegal? Sure feels illegal.

• Do I have a legal obligation to report these things to the RCMP? I feel as though I have a moral obligation to tell them what I know about how he's targetting vulnerable women and using them, such as he did to me.

• Am I reading too much into this, or is this like...coercise sexual assault by using his position of leadership in the group to put these women in compromising positions?

• Am I in any potential legal trouble myself?
