Hey everyone, curious about some advice here (pretty sure we are just screwed) but I'll try anyways.

Fiance purchased a wedding dress from a boutique in Alberta. This store just went bankrupt, and assuming we will not get the dress and very likely not be getting our money back ($2,600).

There have been reports and reviews on Google in the last couple days that there was fraud activity, in the sense that people were ordering and paying for dresses, and the business never actually ordered anything, and also that the business wasn't even registered in the last year.

As well, some cheques that were written for dresses weren't even deposited into the business account, but rather her husband's contracting business account.

Sure not much of that even matters. My guess is file a police report (if it's even worth it), and guessing Visa/MC won't do anything since they won't be willing to take the loss.

Thanks in advance.
