I am renting a car from enterprise while my car is in the shop. I went hiking and when I came back, I found that my cards and cash had been stolen from my wallet. They took about $200 cash (I'm a barber so I always have cash) and spent 1.7k on credit and 400 on debit. They also took my gfs cards and spent 4k on her Amex. All the card stuff is being reported as fraud and getting figured out with the bank but I'm bummed out about the 200 cash. I figured out that one of the doors doesn't lock. Not sure if this is because the person who stole broke the door or if it was already like that and they got lucky. Would it be possible for me to sue enterprise and for how much? I tried to get it settled with enterprise but they told me I didn't purchase their protection plan so they can't help me. They also said there's no record that the door was already broken so it's likely that the burglar broke the door to get in.
