So last month I moved into this apartment complex. It is mainly for students but you don't have to be a student to live there and if yiu are a student, you don't have to go to the school where most of the students who live there go. I am 26 years old, work full time, and am in college online. The complex had many different options, from 1 bed room units to 5 bedroom units. I live in a building with 4 5-bedroom units. From what I can tell, including my unit, every 5-bedroom unit or most of them house a frat house. So either my unit and the unit on the other far side are not a part of the frat. There is a common outside area (the building is shaped like a U and the common area is outside in the middle). In this outside area, the frat house that is in my building, has their decorations everywhere and throws parties there. They blare their music day in and day out and it vibrates and shakes my bed and floor. Strobe lights, drunk college kids, the whole nine yards. I did not want conflict so I decided to tell the office, they said they would put a note on my account but said they could not guarantee someone would address. I asked if could get out of my lease since it was the same week, they said I could re-let button one has tried to take over my lease on their end and I don't feel it is ethical to find someone to take this lease because they would be miserable. I have sent multiple email complaints to the office and nothing has been done. My father has also called them as he cosigned for my lease, nothing has been done. I have also contacted their corporate office. I feel asif I was mislead when I signed this lease, because I would not have signed it if I k ew I would be living in the same building as a frat house. Is there anyway I could get out of my lease?
