USPS Tort Claim
Post Body

I filed a tort claim almost 6 months ago (6 Days until the 6 month mark) and have yet to hear anything regarding the status of my case. All I know is that my claim was sent to the regional tort claims department because the amount was greater than $5,000. The audio message when I call the regional center says they have 6 months to make a decision so I still have some time but I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar? If I do not receive a settlement by the 6 month mark, can I immediately file a law suit? Is there a specific lawyer I need to successfully get a federal suit filed? I just want my car fixed and theyโ€™re taking all the time that they can which is bugging the hell out of me.
