Homeowners insurance denying our claim despite our repair company and everyone else telling us this is a totally normal incident and has no reason to be covered.
Post Body

A few weeks ago we noticed our kitchen floor warping a bit. We suspected the dishwasher, so we took it out and found it had been leaking water. We called a repair company the very next day to come check it out and give us an estimate, and they told us that they see stuff like this all the time and that the insurance company should have no reason to approve our claim. Over the next few days we went through the process of filing our claim, and the repair company took out the damaged flooring and started the process of drying out our sub-floor.

Every time my wife or I would talk to an insurance person on the phone or a repair person would come to check on the drying process, we'd basically keep getting told we wouldn't get denied and this was an open and shut case. Fast forward to yesterday, the claims adjuster calls us and tells us we're getting denied because the pictures the repair company took appear to show damage to our sub-floor, and she's claiming we must have known about the damage for much longer than we did before filing our claim. There is no damage to our sub-floor (or else I'd imagine the repair people would have told us or taken it out), and we filed the claim the day after we noticed the floor warping. The only reason we didn't call the same day is that it was late at night when we discovered the leaking dishwasher.

Do we have any options here?
