So I'm not too sure where to start here. Been living in this apartment for 7 years now. Always had maintenance issues, has changed owners a few times. Currently there's a few leaks in the ceiling, not sure where it's coming from, we've told them about it before and everytime they go upstairs, can't fine anything so they just patch and paint it, then a year later, water damage and holes in the ceiling.

We've been calling them for weeks now, next to no response. Also we were in talks about going on a 6th month lease (our lease was ending and we wanted to get a house and mainly get the fuck out of here). We had gotten prices but then radio silence. Turns out they changed owners. They never informed us this was happening we only figured it out when we suddenly started getting billed for the month to month rate which is about $400 more a month. We refused to pay it and kept paying the old rate, kept calling, for the leaks and the lease/ payment stuff, nothing. We only got in contact with someone once when we called corporate and that lead to nothing.

Then we got an eviction notice. Again we called and called and nothing. I've been down to their office, they're never there. I'm not sure about our rights and all that, even the leak is a minor concern we just don't want to come home someday and have nowhere to live. Any advice is helpful.
