As the title says PG&E shut off my power for maintenance. This was not an emergency, As they have been marking their underground lines for replacement for weeks now. No formal notice that power may be interrupted was ever given
My wife spoke to one of the crew members doing the maintenance this morning and said power should only be interrupted for 3-4 hours. Here I am 8 hours later and it's still off. All my food in my fridge and freezer has thawed out as it's a 105°F and now needs to be thrown out.
My wife is pregnant and is complaining of being hot with no AC and I have a 2 year old.
Can I take them to court and get anything back from this. At the bare minimum my cost in groceries.
Would it be possible to get more compensation due too the lack of cooling because of this outage? Or anything else for that matter.
Thank you
