Sentencing Appeal
Post Body

I was charged with my second driving while barred in Iowa recently. (Muscatine Co.) The judge gave me 120 days, 90 suspended. 30 days in jail is a fair deal, but I have full custody of a minor child who has emotional health issues from being raped over half her life. Since this has happened she hasn't been away from me for an entire day at all. I feel that me being gone will be very detrimental to her state of mind and mental wellbeing.

I've also just recently started a career program to help earn more money to support us. Going to jail for 30 days would cause me to lose that opportunity.

Am I stupid for wanting to appeal? Would asking to double my probation and fines be fair? Please KINDLY provide me with input if possible!

Thanks
