Had a friend whose dad passed away with a will recently and have been hearing horror stories from my friend about their process.
My mom has no will and a lot of health issues, not much in the way of money or assets (living on social security and monthly cash from family who live with her). She doesn't have a will but needs one and she knows it. She went into the hospital today and asked me what she needs to do to get a will in the most cost effective way possible since she doesn't have much money.
Her only real assets are her house which is paid off, a used older vehicle that she owns outright with a title, and a checking and savings account and maybe a small retirement account but not sure about that without asking her (also household goods, furniture, tv, appliances, the basics...).
What is her cheapest option to get a will completed in the state of Texas? She doesn't use computers or cell phone. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
