Dental malpractice?
Post Body

3 years ago, I had to get emergency surgery to get my bottom wisdom teeth removed. When the doctor injected me with the anesthetic, I felt a sharp pain/electric shock and then my entire mouth went numb…which I thought was normal. A couple days after the surgery, i regained feeling on the left side of my mouth, but the right side was still numb and a little tingly. I was unable to taste of feel anything on the right side of my tongue, making it extremely difficult to eat or drink anything. I went back to the dentist a week or two later to tell them my symptoms, and they said that it was normal to feel the affects of the anesthesia still. Now it’s been 3 years, and the right side of my tongue is still numb with no taste, so after doing some research I have found that I have lingual nerve damage. Is this a valid dental malpractice case? What if I want to seek compensation for my injuries, do I need to pay for a lawyer?
