Hello,
My father passed away today and he communicated nothing to me about what to do if he died. He gave me the power to make decisions for him and he had me slightly aware/involved in his medical procedures, but he didn’t provide me with any information regarding a will, tax returns, etc.
I have no idea where to begin with these documents or forms. I was his closest next of kin and I am handling his funeral/burial. I just don’t know if there is more I am supposed to do or take care of legally. I don’t think he really had many assets.
