CPS, the ultimate authority?
Post Body

I recently was granted custody of my 3 sons by the courts because their mom had some substance problems. I passed their screens and drug tests. This is the 2nd time they have given me care of the boys, but this time it was actual full custody. Their mom now has to work case plans and do all kinds of shit to be allowed to get any rights back. They told me I didn't have to work a plan because I didn't mess up. Now though, they are always trying to make me sign plans and telling me what I have to do. They want me to sign over all of my medical records and stuff as well. Even going so far as to tell me I HAVE to put my kids in daycare every single day. If I refuse then they will take my kids, or they threaten me to. So, here's what I'm reaching out to ask of anyone who has been in similar circumstances; do I have to cooperate and do everything they say? Can they take them just because I don't? Also, since I now have custody and their mom is OK with whatever I choose, could I legally just move to another state and avoid them all together?
