My job approached me and asked me if I would be willing to cut hair for them. Same pay. I work for a private detention facility contracted with the department of homeland security. I don’t have a license but they have to offer haircuts every month to the detainees being held here. I asked for something in writing that stated I wouldn’t be held liable if the detainee tried to sue me for something like assault if I cut him or nipped him. They said nothing would be in writing but verbally told me I wouldn’t be held liable. It would just be like if I broke up a fight and pinched or scratched the detainee… Would I be held liable for this?
