I have full coverage car insurance and the financial company still owns my car. I do have GAP insurance.

My boyfriend has made my payments for the last year since I have been at home with our newborn son, and 3 weeks ago my friend and I had a head-on collision in her car.

It's made me think about my insurance!

If something were to happen to my car and I wasn't working, would the car be repossessed by the financial company? Even with the GAP insurance? Or would I still get a check?

Does anyone know??
