I was contacted by my brother (27M )last night at 5AM and he was crying and explained that his girlfriend had assaulted him and he just barely managed to escape. He's covered in deep bite and scratch marks all over his arms and face and is sporting a possible broken nose after being headbutt in the face. He attempted to restrain her and leave but she kept attacking him and screaming "rape" whenever he tried to leave and at one point began banging her own head into the wall and walked towards the kitchen (to grab a knife he assumes). He finally managed to restrain her enough to be able to leave and she chased him outside where he had to hid behind cars to avoid her. He's terrified of going home as he's afraid she might be waiting there for him or some of her friends/relatives as she threatened to call them to either beat him up or kill him. He's currently safe at a friend's house but has no medical insurance to get his wounds inspected. He sent me various photos and the bite wounds broke skin and may run a serious risk of getting infected. She also sent him a photo of two police officers inside her apartment taking a report from her. Presumably she's given them a false story to make him look like the aggressor. Only wounds she could possibly have from him may be either from him having to forcefully restrain her or self-inflicted on her part. She also sent the message "you deserve everything that's coming to you" and "keep ignoring me" along with the photos of the cops. This is particularly terrifying for me as he claims to still love this girl and wants to work it out, despite me telling him to get away forever and him legitimatelyfearing for his life. He is dumbfounded on what to do. He is in pain and terrified for his safety and freedom. He needs medical attention and legal advice desperately but has no clue how to get either. He was considering simply going to the police precinct and attemp to explain the situation there but is afraid of getting arrested since we're both racial minorities. If anyone could provide some advice on securing services it would be much appreciated. I could relay any relevant info back to him. Thank you all so much!

TLDR; Brothers gf assaulted him badly and almostmaybe tried to kill him. He escaped with major wounds but she's presumably filed a false police report and possibly given herself self-inflicted wounds to try to corroborate her story. He is hurt bad and terrified and has no medical insurance to get checked out or legal knowledge to seek advice about the false report.
