Bought a bulk pack of small cheap plastic grinders from China and it never arrived. Called around to follow up and got this letter - https://imgur.com/a/7vKy19W
They are non descript cheap plastic grinders. I do not understand:
how they can be declared drug paraphernalia.
why im being given the option to buy them back and how they determined a retail value. how/why does drug paraphernalia have a market value if its illegal?
how do they sell grinders in store if they're illegal
What is the simplest response I can draft to tell them to release my property? This feels like extortion, if I understand right option #2 is to pay and receive the property?
edit: I just remembered these bulk orders ship with store displays. I have no idea what kind of graphics are on those / maybe this is the point of contention
edit2: for everyone saying talk to a lawyer, duh. I did. They confirmed its an extortion tactic and that I'm in the right and I could get my stuff back but the cost of hiring a lawyer or paying their 'fine' is at least 3x the retail cost of re-ordering the products. thanks for the help everyone. quite the bucket of crabs we have going on here
