I have been dealing with an HVAC unit in my apartment that does not actually cool my apartment. Basically it blows out cold air but throughout the day my apartment gets hotter and hotter, often times getting above 80 degrees inside and only starts to cool off around 10 PM and only gets to about 72 before starting to go up again the next day. I have put in repeated service calls about it and even sent the property manager and leasing manager multiple emails. All the service technicians do is spray off the outside unit with water and tell me it should start to cool off and I have never received a response from the property manager or leasing manager. What if any legal avenues do I have? Every day my apartment gets way too hot to comfortably live in and my electric bill is through the roof because the AC never gets a break to turn off.
