Help getting my total use of hours and retainer refund from my lawyer
Post Body

I live in Ohio and finished dealing with a court case dealing with child support and custody for my daughter. The court case ended June 7th and I received a letter from my lawyer saying my case was closed and all the court documents.

During the court case we hired a Guardian ad Litem. After the court case ended my child's mother received her total use of hours and retainer refund from her lawyer after about two weeks and we received the same from the Guardian after 2.5 weeks.

After three weeks I called my lawyer's office to ask when I should expect to receive mine and the paralegal said she would leave a note for him and he would get back to me. Never heard anything so two weeks later I email asking the same thing. Receive a response back saying he has to total his hours before he can see if I get a retainer refund. Replied saying I understand that but would like a timeframe to expect it. No response.

Dallied my county bar association to ask if they knew about a time frame to expect and the lady that answered didn't know the answer or who I could ask. So now I turn to Reddit to see if someone could help me figure out what I can do and any help is appreciated. Thanks!
