This feels like a question so basic and so ridiculous that the answer should be both obvious easy to obtain, but I'm unable to find information that I'm able to parse anywhere. I'm trying to divorce my wife, who now lives in New Jersey, while I reside in Tennessee. I've paid an online Lawyer to help me put together the papers, but that's about as much as I can afford. She has agreed not to contest the divorce, but is too lazy to get the papers signed and notarized.
My understanding is that I should be able to get them signed/notarized on my end, and then file them, and then serve them to her? But I'm not clear on how the actual "serving" process is supposed to work - like, how the hell do I do it? What, exactly, am I supposed to serve?
Additionally, I could file for a fault divorce - she currently is living with her boyfriend, whom she started 'dating' while we were still together. Filing fault on grounds of infidelity or abandonment would not be unreasonable, but how much more difficult would it be?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
