I live in Washington State.
My aunt recently passed unexpectedly and my cousin is being told by the city morgue that the autopsy is too expensive and they're not going to do one.
Aunt was found sitting on a chair, head on the washer, my cousin said it looked like she was folding clothes.
She may have overdosed (it is unknown for sure if she was on drugs) or had a heart attack. I've told her to ask for what they are putting on the death certificate.
Anyways, anyone who has been through this or knows the law, please comment and help.
