Post Body

Hey everyone. So some initial info to establish the legal scene per say. I live in Canada, Nova Scotia to be exact. Me and my ex have been separated since august 2020. Our son who is almost 3 now has been primarily in my care since October 2020. The baby bonus was initially going to her. For two months she kept it. For two months she sent me a portion, 500 to be exact. Then for three months now she sent me the full amount of 614. Finally I am getting the baby bonus and I am also getting the back pay from october till April. The CRA is saying once the money was sent to her, regardless if she sent the baby bonus to me or not, I am not responsible for that money. Basically my question is once she stops getting the money, will the CRA look to have her pay back that money. And if they do will she be able to make me pay her that money back?

And and all advice is a massive help is is appreciated. Just a concerned dad.
