In late 2019 I was let go from a company that I helped found and grow. The company provided entertainment in bars and restaurants across the country and went from single city when I started to about 20 cities by the time I left. My non compete was for 12 months (no starting or investing on other similar companies) and my non-solicitation is for 24 months.
After leaving the company, I started to work as a bar manager with one of the bars we had worked with. This bar is a national chain, and we had worked with locations across the country.
I'd like to work with the bar I'm currently at to create a corporate position for myself to provide the same entertainment, but solely for bars within the chain. Were I to start this before the 24 months from my termination date, would this violate the agreement? Essentially, does it count as solicitation if I work for the company.
This all may be a moot point as the current pandemic limits these types of events anyway, but id like to be prepared for the eventual return to normal.
