My emotionally abusive alcoholic father pulled a gun on my mom and I during a drunk rampage

For context, I am 16, my mother is 46, my father is 55. I live with them currently. This takes place in Kentucky. My father has been an angry drunk ever since I can remember. When we were little he would use ā€œcorporal punishmentā€ (hitting with a belt) though I never got hit, being the youngest and disabled. He has only ever shoved my mother, but he frequently breaks things in the house and makes physical threats. Never hitting, though.

About two weeks ago, my father was on another one of his drunk rampages. General screaming, swearing, knocking things over, making threats, everything weā€™re used to. But it very quickly escalated. He stormed off to their shared bedroom and my mother followed him, begging to just talk it over. I was standing in the doorway so I hadnā€™t seen the gun yet. I heard her scream, and I saw him shove her out of the way. He came at me with a handgun, pointed at me, kind of at waist level. He was looking me directly in the eyes. He then raised the gun to his own head.

I was already having an anxiety attack and on the phone with the police at this point. As soon as I started giving our address, he put the gun down and my mom made me stop and cancelled the call. I have voice recordings of her scream, my sobbing, and him ranting before the call.

My mom took the gun and realized it wasnā€™t loaded. He did not know this. He continued to demand the gun back, with bullets. After all of this, my mother ended up calling a rehab center for him and they said they would call the county sheriff seeing as he was refusing inpatient treatment after that.

The police came, talked to my father for exactly a minute, and left. No involuntary hold. No questions about the situation that led to the call in the first place. He didnā€™t go to his scheduled rehab appointment, and nothing happened legally.

I just want to know if I have any sort of case against him here. Iā€™ve dealt with his emotional abuse and physical threats for as long as I can remember, and my mom refuses to make him go to rehab. Itā€™s an every day occurrence at this point.

TL;DR: My father was drunk and pulled out an unloaded (he didnā€™t know it at the time) handgun on my mom and pointed it at me. I have voice recordings of this incident and previous recordings of abuse. Do I have any sort of case against him legally?
