Post Body

Gonna try to make this the short version.

Drawn out mess of a custody case. Number of "Experts" involved who seem to have little interest in resolving the case.

I'm out of money, and the experts are refusing to deal with me only willing to speak to the lawyers in the case. These are things I can handle. The reality is that the case needs to go to court to have a judge make some orders, but the MD courts are closed due to the pandemic.

My lawyer did give me the option that I could fire him, so that the experts will have to deal with me. However I know I can't do everything without a lawyer, even if I have to go to court / file a motion without a lawyer cause I can't afford the costs.

So I guess what I want to do is put my lawyer on hiatus or some thing similar (maybe there is a legal term for this?) so no one can deal with the lawyer while the courts are closed, and I am not racking up fees for him answering bullshit letters that don't do anything; but be able to reactivate him later if/when I need him.

Is this possible of do I have to fire him?
