Random, but does anyone know if it's legal to have a CT and NY license at the same time?
I grew up in CT and have kept renewing in CT over the years because I visit my parents often and don't actually drive in NY (living in NYC full-time, driving is a little pointless). I'm renewing my CT license on Friday and a bunch of friends suggested switching to NY license.
Could I do both though? CT license allows me to go to the local beaches, etc. when I visit my parents. But NY will be more helpful to renew in the future, since simple renewals can be done online or from those one-off offices and kiosks.
Maybe I should get a non-driving ID from NY and license for CT?
Side note: I'm also thinking about getting the "RealID" thing done soon for whenever travel will be allowed post-pandemic. Which state would be better to get that license from?
