Someone filed for unemployment in my (22M) name in another state. I have no idea what to do.
Post Body

Iā€™m in Florida currently, have been for the past year and a half. Last night my mother contacted me letting me know I got an unemployment letter in the mail at her MASSACHUSETTS address. I immediately caught a red flag, as I had been collecting UI in Florida since covid started. I looked on the Mass UI website, and saw that somebody had created a claim with my SSN. I filed a fraud claim there, but apart from that, what in gods name can I do to further protect myself? I have no idea and Iā€™m freaking out that someone has access to my identity.
