Post Body

Hello everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Names have been changed and I tried to keep it as simple as possible!

  • My grandparents owned a home, and both passed away.

  • They had two children (Kerry and Todd)

  • My Grandparents specifically left the entire home to Kerry (it’s clearly stated in the will)

  • Kerry never transferred the home to her name (it’s still in my grandparent’s name even today)

  • Kerry passed away a few years ago.

  • In Kerry’s will, she said she wanted Todd’s son to have the home; however she never changed the name from her parents.

  • Todd’s wife knows where the will is, but “forgot.”

1) Whose home is it?

2) Todd’s or Todd’s son?

3) What’s the course of action if Todd’s son wanted to claim what’s legally his? How does he find a copy of the will?

Thank you so much for your time!!!
