Okay so this is a bit of a messy situation and il try to keep it as straight forward as I can. Recently me and the mother of my son broke up and before either of us knew it, things got messy fast. Now I'm not trying to keep our son away from her (he is 2 for refrence) I just want to know what steps I need to take not only to protect myself but also have things work out well for our son. We want to eventually be on friendly terms but it's a long way off. Any advice on what I should do and maybe how to approach this gently would be greatly appreciated.
Edit. Some additional information that may or may not be important but right now she is a stay at home mum, and I am the primary financial provider. Not sure if this changes anything but yeah
