My mom could lose her house

Post Body

So, my mom has been living in my great grandmoms house since she passed in 1998 and even a few years before that as she was her caregiver. After her passing the house because legally own by my grandparents and my mom kept living there all the way up to now.

Today, my grandfather passed. Quick backstory on my grandmother; she an abusive women who mentally and have physically abused an child or grandchild that lives with her unless they were a boy. So both me and my mom have suffered at her hand. My mom has been asking her to put the house to be given to her (my mom) in my grandmothers will and she’s just been lackadaisical about it despite making sure another house goes to my mom’s brother. Now I fear that either my mother lose the house either by it not being in the will or by liquidation because of my terrible grandmother.

Is there anything that my mother can do or use to gain ownership. Almost in the way of squatters rights. Forgive me, I am not law inclined. This is in Maryland.
