Post Body
I work as maintenance for an apartment management company. We had a heating specialist come out to install a new unit on my day off. The manager was supposed to be available to let the specialist into the unit but ended up not being able to do so. So I was called to open the unit. This was my day off. Not scheduled or anything. I am paid hourly.
Now boss is saying that since it was so simple of a task that they dont want to pay me more than 30 min.
I was under the impression that under California law if you got called in on a non scheduled work day it was 4 hours minimum. Is this correct?
