[WA] - Selling motorcycle with title but no bill of sale

Post Body

My friend owes me quite a bit of money. Six months ago he purchased a motorcycle from craigslist, I helped him select it based on the craigslist post.

He is now offering to repay his debt to me by giving me this motorcycle so I can sell it. He tells me he never got a bill of sale from the original owner. I called the original owner who confirmed remembering the motorcycle, but told me that my friend did indeed take a bill of sale from him. The original owner of course does not want to meet me and write a bill of sale to me, claiming "I'm done with this vehicle, that was six months ago"

At the moment, I have a motorcycle with a title in the name of the original owner and no bill of sale.

Is there any way for me to legally resell this or recoup any amount of money? I'm not particularly interested in driving this type of motorcycle myself, but I am in need of the money.

Thanks!
