Near Santa Rosa, California
I parked in my own apartment complex and I thought I was parking in my roommateās spot. The placards are impossible to read at night and I accidentally parked two spots over thinking I was in his spot. So I mean, it looks like a good tow other than the fact that you cannot read the placards at night.
So I get to the tow place and they have the wrong spot written down for where my car was parked. In fact, I donāt think the spot they wrote down is even on the lot at all. And I tell the lady this and she says āwell the guy couldnāt read itā and I said āneither could Iā and the lady shows me a picture but everything is overexposed to the point where I donāt honestly think you can even read my plate, let alone the reflective tiny placard, but I didnāt get a good look at it. She then writes over (not crosses out) the number and hands the receipt to me.
What I want to know is if I could win a small claim by bad paperwork alone due to illegible writing on where the spot was?
Thank you.
