Backstory, apparently this girl fooled around with my boyfriend ONCE and it was when we weren't together. Last night she just randomly appeared when we were getting dinner at 711 (classy I know) and tried to plant herself between us and start touching on him. He was great and shut her down and started walking away with his arm around me. She didn't like that and started following us (when she walked up she had been going in the opposite direction) I mentioned that to him, and our friend that was with us. She got pissed and started screaming at me, coming close to me, acting aggressively and finally knocked my dinner out of my hands and wanted to start throwing punches. I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and knew I couldn't let any of her blows land. I ended up getting her to the ground pretty quickly, but then she wouldn't let go of my leg, and she bit me. So i had to try to pull her off and ended up hitting her a few times so she would stop biting me. Then we walked away. She was a bloody mess but she was able to get up and keep following us and screaming after us for a few blocks so I think she ended up ok. I cried afterwards because I hate violence and I really don't like hurting people but I wasn't gonna let her hurt my unborn baby or me. My question is, should I report it to the police (it happened last night around 930/10pm) in case she calls the cops on me? She knows where we hang out, so maybe I should just call if she comes around to harass us again? Edit: She also threatened to have her friends come after us with gus, which might sound stupid, but we live in Oakland, CA where there is a lot of gang related gun violence, and a "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality. Update: So before I could even call to make a report, cops pulled up on me and I got arrested. They charged me with felony assault and ROBBERY WTF. Apparently this lady was married and didn't want her husband knowing why she approached us in the first place, so she said WE jumped and robbed her. My boyfriend and I were both arrested. My public defender met with me on Dec. 23 and said if I didn't take the felony plea deal it would be 80 days until trial. That's almost 3 months I would have spent in jail when I was already almost 4 months pregnant. I would have been close to 7 months pregnant sitting in jail and going to trial. I know I definitely would have won the case but I didn't want to spend all that time in jail while pregnant. (If I didn't have the baby to worry about I would have gone all the way and won that trial) My boyfriend's charges got dropped because he didn't do anything and we definitely never stole anything from that woman. I was infuriated when I found out she lied like that. Because of her lies, the DA did not want to lower his felony deal so now I have a criminal record and 3 years of felony probation. Fml
