Renting a house from two siblings and now they are fighting we stuck in middle. HELP!

So my brother and I are renting a house here in Az. We lived here about 4yrs until recently. One lives in NC and the other lives here in Az. We signed a lease with the sister (one in NC) and got a text a month ago saying (the one in Az) that now we are to pay rent to him (his name is not on the lease) so we paid rent to what the lease says and two days later the brother handed us papers a delinquency notice saying we own him rent that we just paid to the sister who’s name is on the lease.
