I was terminated from my job in August. I missed work due to complications from my type 2 diabetes. I contacted my union rep aswell as my supervisor prior to my shift. I was terminated the next day even though I explained what happened and had a doctor's note. They stated that due to be being a probationary employee, a doctor's note didn't matter. Probationary period is 90 working days, I had been employed there for almost a year. Is there anything I can do to get my job back? I worked for a auto manufacturer in Chicago.
