I have been having some medical issues (neurological, company was advised at time of hire) and while previously this has allowed me to work I recently had a significant decrease in capability that has been severely limiting my ability to work. Per company policy I had contacted management team to advise them of the situation and asking if there can be some accommodations made that may help me to work more hours per day.
I did offer some possible options but made no mention of the ADA in my email to them.
It has taken a couple of weeks to get a response from them, but now I have a meeting tomorrow with upper management to discuss things.
One oddity I noticed in the request however is that they mentioned the ADA in their message to me for the meeting.
I suspect that with the circumstances/how long it took to get a response they may have discussed it with legal, but I was wondering if they may have been advised to treat it as a request under ADA.
While I don't have a diagnosed disability yet, this is only because my doctors are still trying to determine what may be the cause of my issues.
I appreciate any response to this.
