So, the mother of my child just called me tonight and told me to sign my rights over. She put me on child support knowing I haven't had a job in almost 2 years, I am an addict, and my life has been unmanageable for quite some time. Is there any way that she could just simply revoke the child support? I don't know if signing over my rights to my son is a very good idea, because I am currently working on recovering, and would one day like to get custody of my son. She's not a very good mother, if I'm being honest. It sounds like I'm putting myself on a pedestal, but even though I have my addiction, I was a great father, and she really isn't that good of a mother. Everything went to shit when she started the infidelity in the relationship and I let it tear me down to bits and pieces and decided to start using like a fucking piece of shit, cause I'm an idiot and can't cope with life, apparently. I grew up without a father, and in a broken home, and everything was going great till she started to cheat, and all I ever wanted was a family and with all the shit that she put me through it tore me down to bits and pieces. What are friends for, eh? To fuck your missus, apparently! 😁 She suffers from Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. Her mental health and the way she is, she really isn't fit to be a mother. She lost her house and is now living back with her dad and step mother who seem to always have my son.
TL;DR Kind of ranting, but what I'm asking is can child support just simply be revoked? I'm going to get my shit together, and be the man I know I can be for my son, so I'm scared to just give up my rights.
