Hello, redditors. Local to Virginia. I paid someone $100 to do some work for me, with the promise it would be done today. Well, after 12 hours of waiting, I finally get a response after seeing that they decided to take a road trip. I have messages where they state they felt no need to update me, as they "had shit to do." I gave them the ultimatum to refund me my money, or i'd contact my bank to file a dispute. Checking the messages, I see they just went and blocked me. I have a secondary account and told them they can either refund me immediately, or I would have zero issues sending my lawyers after them with the proof of messages.
Now, I'd like to think I have the law on my side, but I would like some of your opinions. Thank you.
