Post Body

Bought a house in Tarrant County Texas. On the initial disclosure the only issues listed related to plumbing/septic was that the master bathroom had a minor drainage issues. We had the house inspected by a septic system inspector hired by the seller because he agreed to pay to have it pumped. The septic inspector pumped the system and after inspection said the septic system was working fine. We had a storm after a week of being in the house and everything started backing up. Initially I didnt freak out because it was a big storm and i knew the yard took on a lot of water. One week later we had 2 days straight of regular rain and the water started flowing backwards in the toilets downstairs. We had a different septic company come by and they said that not only was the tank too small for the house but that it was failing and installed incorrectly. Do I have any recourse into having this fixed? Additionally I live near a lake and according to the second septic guys that came out that because of changed regulations that it would be more costly to replace because a conventional system cant be used near the lake and if the city decided to inspect they could fail it and force us to replace it immidiately.
