Good evening r/legaladvice! A friend's family is in a dicey situation, and I was wondering if someone could offer some advice.
We're in Montreal, QC, Canada.
So, my friend's grandfather was recently hospitalized due to a pretty bad fall. (This man, for context, was in the Royal Air Force back in WWII.) He is currently drugged out of his mind from the drugs post-op. His wife showed up at his bedside with a real estate agent, trying to get him to sign his own house off for sale.
This just happened today, and though I know of a few options (mediation, cease and desist, etc.) I was wondering if any one had any concrete/solid courses of actions my buddy should take?
Thank you in advance! I'll answer all questions to the best of my knowledge and ask my friend if I'm not sure.
Edit : Friend’s father (whose father is in the hospital) has power of attourney, if that changes anything.
