My ex and I separated when my daughter was two. She was unstable and couldn’t hold down a consistent job so I was given majority custody of my daughter . The court paperwork said 50/50 but she only had her three days. About six months ago she informed me that her and her new husband were trying to move to Texas. I hired a lawyer and was in the verge of getting her in contempt of court for not paying child support, but we have her an out and said if she gave me my daughter 5 1/2 days we wouldn’t press child support any further. I didn’t really care about the money just the fact I’d have my daughter and not have her be two states away. We agreed that taxes would switch between years and that never changed. Fast forward and I offered to tell court she gave me all the money she owes me if she let me claim my daughter. She refused said she needed the money. She has only paid two months of child support. I don’t want to send to jail because I know she will turn it on me and tell my daughter I sent her away for money I just don’t know what to do please help
