I think I have seen this answered before but I want to be completely sure before I do anything. I was married for twelve years, though unhappily for the second half of it. I found a woman earlier this year who makes me happy and I purchased a home for us to live in together. While this was happening, I filed for a no fault divorce with my wife in the room and the agreement we made was that she’d sign the divorce and I’d given her 100% power over the division of assets. Needless to say, I left everything but my personal belongings with her.
The day we were finally able to sign the signal paper she tells me she isn’t signing and she files for spousal support. Now I want my assets. What rights do I have to them right now as far as removing them from our home and bringing them to mine?
