Dog/house sitter gave our dogs medicine/anti-anxiety “treats” without consulting us beforehand. No contract was involved but it seems like common sense not to.

This is in Oregon, I wasn’t sure which flair to use/if I needed one. But I think it fits.

My family took a trip to Maine for Thanksgiving, we left our two dogs with a dog sitter. This lady made it very hard to come to an agreement on price and wanted to micromanage every aspect of her time at our house. We head home tonight and get back around 1am. Two days ago she texted my dad telling her she received a “free bottle” of glucosamine and asked to give them to one of our dogs who was apparently acting nervous. In the same text she explains how she got some “free samples of anxiety treats” and gave them to our other dog. My dad responded saying to please refrain from giving them medicine. She continued on to say “I hope you’re not mad I gave him the treats” and proceeded to recommend other medicines for anxiety. She seems to have the best interest in mind but has gone over the top with everything, especially giving them these anxiety treats without asking us. Is this against the law in any way? We have not payed her in full and should we/do we have to after this? I can imagine it’s more something that shouldn’t have happened and isn’t legally wrong; but I’m livid over it as I care a lot about my dogs and having someone who has been extremely over controlling taking care of them, then doing this is very concerning.
