I left my college to see a friend because he hasn’t been home for many month due to his fiancé doing chemo. I locked my door because I didn’t want anyone going in my room. My roommates friend, who was supposed to be my roommate this year and didn’t come back to my college called me and told me he took my mattress pad after he broke my door down. He originally told me I could have the pad a few months ago. I may be being petty but I recorded our conversations on the phone. He broke my door and took my belongings— can I get it back or report anything? I don’t want them in trouble but I want my belongings. However, they broke my deadlock and that’s not okay. Help?
