Recently my child's paternal grandmother learned of his existence after 2 years of his life. The dad is unstable, no job, and has a group of friends who aren't the "best citizens" He's taking care of another man's kid. However, his family gives him money for all his bills and until recently the child that is not his. Now the family is pushing me to pursue child support and telling me they're forcing him to step up. My chills has a dad in his step dad and is perfectly content. If he gets his life together I am willing to coparent but I don't feel "forcing him" to step up will help the situation. I don't wish to cut them out but want to know my rights. We have some questions regarding this. Can they stop me from moving for SO work? What can they do regarding visitation on my son?
